--- Who would ever think that from Rome, Italy, I would be staying in such a marvelously beautiful, restful, hospitable guest house. Well, I did and it was wonderful. Had I known I would have made plans to stay longer.

Roberta Smith-Tugi, Rome, Italy

...Just wanted you to know that in Feb or March of 2001, my wife and I stayed there in the Victoria Suite.  We had been trying for children for eight years and finally gave up hope.  The night we tayed in the suite, I felt something sit on the bed next to me.  When I looked, nothing was there and then I fell asleep.  November of that same year our first daughter was born.  We named her Victoria after the suite at your establishment where she was conceived.  Just thought you should know.  I wrote the nights events in the diary in the room.

--- The Rutledge is beautiful and amazing, such warmth and comfort. You have done such a wonderful job at interpreting the Victorian era.

Carol Williams, Lake in the Hills, IL

--- We have been pleased in every way while in your gracious home. No committee nor corporation can create the personal ambience you have created for your guests. We echo the comments concerning the beauty of your home and furnishings. All this in such comfort and convenience.

--- Now we know what folks refer to as "Southern Hospitality".  Thank you for our wonderful stay in Charleston.  Certainly Southern charm describes both you and your bed & breakfast.  Continued good wishes and successes in your endeavors.  You both are wonderful hosts and make perfect B&B owners.

John & Phyllis

--- What a nostalgic restful place in which to escape a busy world. Every niche is filled with a delightful surprise and all appointments are tastefully done.

Ruth Barkhurst, Vestavia Hills, AL

--- It has been so nice to return to a beautiful house with our own room instead of to an ordinary hotel room. We have enjoyed setting in the rockers on the front porch, sipping sherry and petting the cats. We also very much enjoyed the peace and quiet here.

Debbie & Steve, Norfolk, MA

--- Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We will take with us memories of Martha, what a delight to have her welcome us in your home. She is a very special person. A beautiful 12 foot Christmas tree with all its decorations, your gracious hospitality during breakfast and sharing - especially the story about your favorite cup that your daughter gave you.

Frank & Mary Ellen, Ferrante, VA

--- The Rutledge Victorain Guest House is a wonderful place to stay. The pineapples in front are just a hint of the hospitality inside.

Jack & Marian Ernst, Denver, CO

--- What a wonderful step back in time. The house is beautiful and the room charming. All the extra touches have made us feel like royalty. Setting on the porch in the evenings was one of our favorite things. Your hospitality was delightful, we felt like we were home the moment we arrived.

Michelle & Jeff, Boston, MA

--- Magical and enchanting! Thank you Lyn & Norm for an experience I’ve only heard of. Because of the Rutledge Victorian, Charleston and you, we’ve lived out our fantasy.
